I am new to rec.food. My Bob has told me that Bob Pastorio is a
wonderful person -- and this was before I knew he was ill.

April 7th is Bob and me's wedding day. I will toast Mr. Pastorio that

The weird thing is, when he died, I thought about him that afternoon
for no apparent reason. I wish I could remember what time it was, but
I knew he had died. When I saw the announcement, it all clicked.

I'll lift a glass of nice local chardonnay. I've got some garlic preserved
in red wine in the back of the fridge, but the wine is nearly undrinkable
for all that garlic. A splash of it is nice in many a stew or salad though.
I figger if heaven is what they say it is, it has to have a vineyard.

The weird thing is, I told hubby that Bob would die on April 1st about a
week ago. He asked how I knew, I don't know, but I did. I think it had to
do with his wrangling with the Angel of Death to go out on April Fools Day,
as a wink and a grin to those who cared for him.

Dang, I forgot about the 3 minute rule. I was ready and poised at
6:59 but got distracted and didn't do the official hoist at 7, I'll
