'cept that mustard isn't kosher for Passover (except for
Sephardim).

Try this: tzemachdovid.orgtaubes.htmlOpen ↗
and there are other references along the same lines. It has
to do with legumes (and certain other plants) *not* being
kosher for Pesach. Certainly some mustard powders contain
wheat, so those would be forbidden.

This is crazy. Mustard is NOT of the legume family, nor are
mustard seed. True the addition of wheat would make it not
Pessach appropriate. Why it is included among kitanyot is
beyond my grasp since it really isn't a grain either.

I think you would have to take that up with the Rabbis LOL!
No idea, but certainly all sorts of things including certain
pharmaceuticals are deemed unkosher for Pesach, even if they
contain no grain.

Halachic law says that anything taken for the necessary
health of someone overrules rabbinic decrees on whether
something is kosher or not. I wonder if these rabbis are the
same clowns who say that gelatin (jello) made from swine
tenet is still kosher.

Not quite, the way I learnt it. The item may still *be*
treyf, but it is permissible to consume it if health or life
would be endangered otherwise.
I wonder

LOL I meant the Rabbis who wrote/compiled the Talmud.

You must have missed the recent discussion of why pork is
treyf. ALthough goyim and reformists claim it is for health
reasons, the datiyim hold that there is no reason.

Actually pork is treyf for the same reasons that carrion,
scavengers, and shellfish are treyf. I believe you will find
the answer in the middle of either Deuteronomy or Leviticus
(my OT is at home and I am not) which also tells you that
mixing wool and linen is forbidden as well.
