So far I have read good reviews and would like to hear from recumbent riders with experience on
this unit.

I have the PCS-4 and consider it to be the best accessory I ever got for my 'bent. The only other
'bent related addition that I would suggest is the Extreme Range Clamp (100-5X) for larger diameter
'bent tubulars.

(I also cut off about 4" height to better accommodate my recumbents at a convenient working height.)

Ditto. I got a PCS-4 and 100-5X clamp about 2 months ago and it has been great. Thanks to Cletus'
recommendation then, I was able to do a major upgrade (new wheels, cassette, chain, shifters,
cables) and it really saved my bad back. I second the motion for this combo. I got mine at
biketoolsetc.com because there is no good lbs within 150 miles. Mark

DITTO the same setup as Cletus, for my Aero. The stand and clamp work
WONDERFULLY! Worth every penny!!!

Well, if it's the _new_ model, what kind of replies would you expect? Park makes great repair
stands. All the replies so far say so. No one replying here has experience with the _new_ model. So

The PCS-9 is very different from Park's previous models. It's a LOT simpler and cheaper. I'm
interested too because I have a Giro and my Park PRS-6 won't hold it. Frustrating as I already
upgraded the PRS-6 once, with the newer, larger clamp that went to about 1 3/4. It held my V-Rex but
when I got the Giro I was out of luck again. At this point I'm balking at shelling out for the 100-
3X clamp since I can get an entire PCS-9 for half that price and it's supposed to go to 3". But, it
wouldn't compare to the quality and stability of a 100-3X.

The problem I foresee with the PCS-9 and a Giro is that the PCS-9 clamp only operates vertically, so
unless you remove the Giro seat you'd have to clamp it far from the balance point. The 100-3X can go
horizontal and (maybe) hold the Giro under the seat.

Although Park is still evolving their stands I don't think they've quite figured out the recumbent
market yet.

I have found that my Giro Fits best into the 100-3X in the vertical position (I.e. the same position
as pictured with the PCS-9. The only difference is that the locking dog is pointed down not up) My
only concern about the PCS-9 is the stability of the workstand. The PCS-4 has feet in both
directions from the vertical and a solid rectangular footprint. The PCS-9 only provides support in
two directions. I also would like to know if the same size tubular is used in both models. I've seen
some pretty wimpy (non-Park) home repair stands.

I just got a PCS-9 for Christmas. You can rotate the clamp around any direction you like.

It holds my T-Bone just fine, the bike has a big fat tube.

Stability is OK, but could be better.

I like the stand a lot.

The Park 100-3x clamp can be turned so that the clamp is horizontal, like the jaws of a bench vice.
In that orientation the clamp could go beneath the seat and hold the top tube.

The PCS-9 is really inexpensive - sounds like a good deal.

I don't know his thoughts but I have one of those stands and
it has worked fine for RANS bikes, (BIG tube) and EZ1 bikes,
(square tube).

I suffer through the same problem of late. My blood pressure
medications were increased from 2 to 5. The fine print on 4
of the 5 indicates the possibility of an increased
dimishment of my mental acuity.

I am fairly happy with the stand. I suggest that you snug up
the bolts when putting it together. I normally place the
bike in the clamp near its point of balance and do most of
my work from that position. I'm not sure how well it would
hold if you rotated it 45 degrees. If that is important to
you I would look at upgrading.

I just got my PCS-9 put together today. Assembly was a
snap. Quality is excellent and it had no trouble holding my
Vision securely. Only one complaint (which has more to do
with Vision than Park): The rear shifter cable runs
underneath the main tube at an irregular angle on its way
back to the right-side chain stay. The brake cable is there
too, but it's centered under the tube so it fits nicely in
the groove built into the clamp jaw. It's a minor
complaint, but it means I won't be able to use this stand
(without modification) to fine-tune the rear derailleur
adjustment. Storage is a synch! Just pick the thing up and
the legs hang down colinear with the vertical tube, making
it easy to hang on the wall of my garage, where it takes up
very little space.

My cables aren't much of a problem. If I get them bound up I
just loosen the clamp and manually push the cable aside. So
far, that has worked for me.

Did you wind up reversing the clamp attachment? The way mine
was put together the lower jaw hung down and the screw
mechanism got in the way of the seat. I reversed it and now
the lower jaw is sticking out straight and I tighten the
clamp from underneath. I don't have to take the seat off
