I pick Cancella or Ballan or a rider from Quick-Step, and if not, then
someone else.

Flecha (interesting that Rabo is only starting 8, according to the World Centre of
Cycling).

They all start only 8.
Theory predicts Boonen, contrarian spirit says Hincapie;
I take Hincapie.

Seems like he's out after a crash so I'll have to invoke the rbr betting
rule #3 amendment 1 which allows changing your bet within an hour after
the start to Devolder.

You're right - I was looking at the "Provisional start list with reserves." So
Rabo had made their decision already.

I'd like to see Hincapie win it too but don't think he'll do it.

I would've loved for Flecha to win. Seems like he had bad luck early
today.

Maaskant.
Good pick. Very cool.

I was sort of pulling for him too, but not all the way. I was really
hoping Ballan could pull it off.
Watching the last km's it was clear the race went to the "deserving"
winner. Boonen and Cancellara tried to work together to ride off
Ballan on some of the later cobbles, but he held on well. Once they
got close, and Cancellara didn't try one of his fliers, I knew he was
toast. Ballan even led out the sprint and Cancellara couldn't even
come around him. Boonen had perfect position (even pushed Cancellara's
butt forward into 2nd spot at 2k out), and was strongest, so position
didn't even matter. A nice race. Too bad it didn't rain.

Having got back on with Pippo his second crash was too much. Great shame...

This rule does not help as much for Paris Roubaix as it does for a Thurs
night crit.
