Ah, ok, see that now. My German is pretty poor.

    Is this a joke?
The guy who took doping to its highest excess and won the TdF and ruined Jan's career is being memorialized in a movie.
The sick thing is its probably not a joke.
Anyone recall Simoni and ET passing the Pantani memorial in the Giro. Touching moment.

As someone with some knowlegde of people with issues of substance abuse, and as many have here posted, the overlap between PED abuse and recreational drug abuse is considerable and in the case of Pantani, life threatening. Perhaps a more fitting memorial would be to create a fund for the treatment of riders with medical and psychological problems stemming fron abuse of drugs.

No it isn't a joke. If you would have read the story (Link), but you probebly did not (which i understand since it is in German), the film is about his bright- and his dark side. We will have to wait for the movie and after watching it we will know if it's a good movie or not...

Good! If it really takes in both sides then I suppose it could be a very good thing. I hope so.

  9. This could be an interesting movie. I hope it comes out on DVD with English sub-titles.

  10. Shouldn't this thread be closed since it is about a movie and not about a Grand Tour? The Dave Stollar one was.

    Me too.

Hey, why don't they get this guy to play Marco ?

I think it will come out with English sub-titles since he was most of all a Grand tour rider.

Haha, are you still [censored] at limerickman?

Just making a joke about his biased moderating. Personally I would be interested to see this movie. I am surprised that people like lim, karlotta, whiteboytrash, etc, haven't come in here ripping on this thread, the movie and Pantani.

    Pantani won the Giro.
    Pantani won the TDF.

Therefore it is correct and fitting that the topic of Marco Pantani be discussed in this thread.

    Got it in one, amigo.

They discussed "Breaking Away" during the TdF.

    😄

I supose if you would actually stop deleting anything not agreeing with you and any attempt to get actual proof of your allegations you wouldn't have people mad at your uber biased moderating.

I guess I got it in one...or how many time I have to repost whle you delete the truth.

Sack him. There is only one man who could conceivably play Pantani convincingly -- Max Schreck:
