does anyone here practice palliative massage?? do you know of anyone that does?? i'm seriously considering this, but need more info and could use some guidance ... cheers!! jc

I do it some, but I frankly think that a professional path in that direction would be a profound
mistake. I speculate that it would end up being very depressing and would show quick burnout. My
opinion, worth what you paid for it.

i am not looking to make this a "career move," just something which intrigues me. long term, yah, i
bet it could turn out to be extremely depressing, and burn-out would certainly follow. i'm not
trying to make light of it, but it would be a real bummer having all of your clients die on you.
that being said, if i could ease just one person's pain and suffering, ease just one person's
passing, then it might be worth it.

It tells us that "palliative health care is specialized health care of dying people aiming to
maximize quality of life, and assist families and carers duuring and after death."
