  1. Is there something specific to paint metal bar ends? mine were black, yers
    ago, now the look redish brown.

    would Tremclad be good enough?

    And no, im not getting rid of them, or replacing them with new ones

    electrical tape is out....too slippery.... i dont wanna put something that
    will become slippery, or when it wears away gets sticky.

    Would tremclad work?

    Sorry, I've never heard of that stuff, but assuming it's a rust
    preventative paint, I don't see why not.

    Are your bar ends made of steel?

    Ok, then in that case you'll want to first knock off any loose rust witha
    brass brush. After that, use some kind of rust converter like Naval Jelly,
    Jasco or whatever you have available up there.

    Then you'll be ready to slap the paint on. Of course any instructions for
    that paint apply too.
