Gotta bet my glasses replaced. At first I thought you said paint.
Check your saddle position. It should be horizontal (or almost), this
symptom sounds like the nose is too high.
Probably your helmet strap is too tight.

Level saddle, and pull them up in your shorts to prevent squishage.
If you're not wearing cycling shorts, get some, they help the boys stay up
and out of harms way.

Have you read "It's Not About the Bike"? Seems like this was an
early symptom...

Which reminds me of this awful joke:
Steve had suffered from blinding headaches for many years, since his late
teens. He decided to try one last time to remedy his situation, and
went to see a headache specialist.
The doctor said, "Good news is I can cure your headaches. The bad news is
that it will require castration. You have a very rare condition, which
causes your testicles to press up against the base of your spine and the
pressure creates one hell of a headache. The only way to relieve the
pressure is to remove the testicles."
Steve was shocked and depressed. He wondered if he had anything to live
for. He couldn't concentrate enough to answer, but decided he had no
choice but to go under theknife.
When he left the hospital he was without a headache for the first time in
20 years, but he felt like he was missing an important part of himself. As
he walked down the street, he realized that he felt like a different
person. He could make a new beginningand live a new life. He saw a men's
clothing store and thought, "That's what I need a new suit."
Steve entered the shop and told the salesman, "I'd like a new suit."
The elderly tailor eyed him briefly and said, "Let's see ... size 44
long."
Steve' laughed, "That's right, how did you know?"
"Been in the business 60 years!"
Steve tried on the suit. It fitp erfectly. As Steve admired himself in the
mirror, the salesmana sked, "How about a new shirt?"
Steve thought for am oment and then said, "Sure."
The salesman eyed Steve and said, "Let's see .. 34 sleeve and 16 and a
half neck."
Steve was surprised, "That's right, how did you know?"
"Been in the business 60 years!"
Steve tried on the shirt, and it fit perfectly. As Steve adjusted
thecollar in the mirror, the salesman asked, "How about new shoes?"
Steve was on a roll and said, "Sure."
The salesman eyed Steve's feet and said, "Let's see...9-1/2 E."
Steve was astonished, "That's right, how did you know?"
"Been in the business 60 years!"
Steve tried on the shoes and they fit perfectly. As Steve walked
comfortably around the shop the salesman asked, "How about some new
underwear?"
Steve thought for a second and said, "Sure."
The salesman stepped back, eyed Steve's waist and said, "Let's see size
36."
Steve laughed, "Ah ha! I got you! I've worn size 32 since I was 18 years
old."
The salesman shook his head, "You can't wear a size 32. A 32 underwear
would press your testicles up against the base of your spine and give you
one hell of a headache."
You may need to have a release. The prostate can ache if there is lack
of release. Method is unimportant. You may also be frustrated. Again
release may be the answer. Then make sure your seat is level and wear
good padded shorts.

It's much more likely to be epididymitis.

Can be various reasons, such as
incorrect fitting saddle
incorrect saddle position
too much padding on saddle
lack of padding in cycle shorts/longs
pressure on testes if there is a raised seam in clothing
Do you wear padded cycle shorts/longs?
Do you wear underwear - if so 'go commando'
Cheers, helen s

It's what comes from having a husband & son who cycle... One has to make
sure they understand the importance of keeping the family jewels in pristine
condition ;-)

Actually, when I say 'the girls' i usually refer to the female
equivalent of the boys. Like when I go over a pothole. OUCH! MY GIRLS!
ANd don't worry guys, pain in the boys doesn't mean you have Lance's
disease.

If there is a moral here it must be either don't jump to conclusions or
get a second opinion. Now I have a headache.

You could be on to something. Wearing loose sweat shorts is a lot more
comfortable than my winter jeans. I also juggled my saddle angle a few
days back and it did make a fair difference. One could always rotate the
saddle about ten degrees left or right and use one side. People would
give you some strange looks when you got off or on and they saw it,
but...if it works, why not?
