The current paper issue of VeloNews has a nice article on him. He and his wife have really made a commitment to focus on a Euro Cross career. The focus appears to be paying off. Bravo!
I keep wondering if he is doing it naturally given that he is suppose to be good buds with De Clerq. If he is, his results are pretty impressive given the assumption that most of those top guys are probably doped to the gills, see Berden's comments just before he got popped for EPO last year claiming the only reason Wellens and Nijs were consistently ahead of him was their better medical programs.

That is so unfair. Wellens and Nys can't defend themselves. All they can say is that they never tested positive, but that is obviously not enough for some people. You're anti-Belgian.Whatever happened to innocent unless proven guilty. There is no evidence.

i say he's doing it naturally despite his alliances with mdq. there is a reason he hasn't cracked the top tier yet. e-RICHIE

There we go. You mean to say there are two speeds of racing in Belgium, just like in France?

there might be 6 speeds for all i know - but there are maybe two good reasons that a guy is always in the front group; one of them is a good corporate culture backing his travel, equipment, and other logistics, and the other is more related to natural talent. e-RICHIE

He also mentioned in the VN article that he now has a young daughter who motivates him to do well. I hope he's clean.
Remember a couple of years ago they let them enter 2 six-man teams rather than the normal 1 in the Belgium round of the World Cup and they took the top 10 spots!
