Anyone is free to donate, but the hip-hop entrepreneur said he needs other forms of support as well.
"It's gonna be a rough one. Probably around the 13th mile, I'll really need your support -- water,
Gatorade, whatever," Combs said of the grueling 26.2-mile race... Sounds like nobody has told the guy that there's aid stations.

Seems like a good cause but I'm skeptical that he can run the whole race. Just like Rosy Ruiz but
look for a stretch limo and not the subway.--

to my knowledge, i have never heard anything bad about puff's health care. you may not like the
music he is involved with, but he looks in what i would call "good shape". now, i doubt very much
his coaches claims, i doubt if he'll run all the way, but i'm sure they'll hold the course open for
him to walk in. good for him...hope is feet hold up. otherwise the nike sponsership may bite them
back. ...thehick -

course last weekend and didn't walk a step. The coach seems to think he will finish and post a
respectable time. I would think if he's clean (doesn't smoke or over indulge in other substances,
legal or otherwise), he's probably in reasonably good shape from performing/dancing so should have
an advantage over joe schmoe who decides to run a marathon on only 8 weeks training.--

While I don't know his coach personally, I have "known" him via a running list for a number of years
and IMHO, he is a honest, strait forward guy who isn't the type to exaggerate. He said Combs ran
17.5M and I take him at his word.Quoted message said:

I would hope he doesn't try and run the whole way, but at least walks water stops. As for walking it
in maybe, but from what the coach said, I don't think they'll have to hold the course open for him.
I hear he's shooting to break Oprah's time of 4:30.--

well ahead of the course closure (rolling shutdown at 15:00 pace).--

Depends what he calls training. I've only been training seriously for three weeks, but ran 20K in
1.31 the other day, which was a long steady run (though slightly too quick). Prior to that I only
did the odd keep-fit 3-5 mile run about once a week - but that might by Joe Schmoe's standards, that
probably is training by some people's standards. I don't see how he ran 17.5 miles if he only
started running at all three weeks ago. He must have done something before. That said, I wouldn't go
near a marathon on three weeks...Ben

the end - I doubt it. Will he raise money for his cause - sure will. He is trying to raise money not
qualify for Boston. If the pledges are by the mile he will be encouraged to finish even if he walks
the last 10 miles.--

true?) then hopping up and down like that could conceivably keep him in pretty good shape. -
