  1. I just received my Neiman Marcus and Dean and Deluca catalogs.

    I'm torn between the ungraded beef fillet for $80/lb
    <http://www.neimanmarcus.com/store/catalog/prod.jhtml?cmCat=search&srcText=NMOF8_H1MNX>

    Or the Karaburan(!?) caviar for $325 a spoonful:
    <http://deandeluca.com/karaburun_caviar.aspx?CategoryID=60&SortBy=pop>

    But the plain 'ol $35/lb Mac and Cheese or the $21/lb white rice
    w/ground beef are also tempting:
    <http://www.neimanmarcus.com/store/catalog/prod.jhtml?cmCat=search&srcText=NMOF8_H1MPT>
    <http://www.neimanmarcus.com/store/catalog/prod.jhtml?cmCat=search&srcText=NMOF8_H1MQ9>

    And for dessert, perhaps the $75/lb pumpkin cookies or the
    $150/lb biscotti:
    http://deandeluca.com/pumpkin_whoopie_pies.aspx
    http://deandeluca.com/biscotti_pottery_jar.aspx?CategoryID=91&SortBy=pop

    Anyway - you get my drift. Some people have just way too much
    money and shouldn't be allowed out in public. Which is why,
    thank heavens, they've devised these ridiculous mail-order
    catalogs.

    So the NM links don't work. What do you expect for free?

    Their entire food catalog can be viewed here (I think):
    <http://www.neimanmarcus.com/store/catalog/templates/SC.jhtml?itemId=cat3520833&parentId=cat14050736&masterId=cat000553>

    Heh, heh, heh. Figures. And I agree, I don't know who, but some people
    have too much money.

    Wow! And I thought Balducci's was expensive!

    Do they have 12 year cave aged Velveeta? I cannot find it in local
    markets.

    Look for it right next to the vintage Boone's Farm Apple Wine.
