  1. Do these people know something US Tyler tifosi don't? Now challenging
    Tyler's Gold medal are:

    1. Ekimov
    2. Russian Olympic Committee
    3. Michael Rogers
    4. Australian Olympic Committee

Damning with faint praise by his non-involvment in the CAS proceeding is
Bobby J. who stated to the NY Times:

One American cyclist at the show, Bobby Julich, had other questions. Julich
had roomed with Hamilton in Athens and won the bronze medal in the time
trial. He said the suspicions about Hamilton "go against everything I've
ever known from the guy." But, he added: "The rest of us at the Olympics
passed the test. Why didn't he?"

    Julich took a deep breath.

"I'm sick of people who cheat, sick of cleaning up their mess and trying to
    explain it," he said.

    Then, a pause.

"There is heavy evidence against him," he said. "With that much evidence, I
don't know how he's going to get out of it."

Aren't the respective OC's challenging on behalf of Ekimov and Rogers? Or
    are there four seperate challenges?

Isn't Julich helping to clean up the mess by not challenging for the silver?

Apparently the OCs can't or won't challenge without the approval of the

I think USAC/USADA political correctness dictate that he stay out of the
matter. His own commercial interests could also dictate that. Can he put in
for a medal upgrade on the USAC web site. ;-)

  5. Hey douchebag Laffery,

Tyler's Olympic test was deemed NEGATIVE. Without a B sample, it's
NEGATIVE under the rules. How are those federations going to convince
the CAS to get around that RULE?

There is no legal case here.

Your little list there of 4 entities is a list of clueless jackasses
wasting their federations money on attorneys who have convinced them
they can win this case, but in reality are just milking them for legal fees.

As for Bobby J., what the [censored] does he know about the blood transfusion
test? Tyler's going to remember him when he comes crawling back....no
15% discount at Tugboat's Bike & Ride in Marblehead.

  8. Philmore,

I'm not saying it looks good right now for Tyler (I was simply
responding to Lafferty's post in which he implies that the Russian and
Australian federations have a legitimate case - they don't and they WILL
    lose).

We need to await the science to play out in his arbitration hearing.
Remember, Tyler did say it was "an incredible story." Let's see what it is.

Who knows why Tyler tested positive. I'm willing to let the science
answer that. All this stuff people say in here without knowing any of
    the details is irrelevant.

Although it's really unfortunate to see an attorney (Lafferty) taking
part in the clique of accusations and innuendo.

That's true, but the standard in a civil trial is lower. I believe it's
only the "preponderance of the evidence" versus "beyond a reasonable doubt".

Garcetti should't have moved the case downtown - it should have stayed

    Guess what?

Jurors do not make any such ambigious distinctions between standards of
proof in criminal vs. civil trials - they decide whether someone is
    guilty or innocent, period.

It's the legal system that has somehow convinced the publi that juries
make suuch ambiguous distinctions. But the reality is they don't. And
secondly, people's definiton of reasonable doubt vs. clearn and
    convincing are vastly different.

So to tell jurors that and expect them to all come to the same
conclusion as to what that means is ridicolous.

Wrong--the jury had to acquit OJ on reasonable

crawling over the crime scene dropping OJs blood everywhere. Retarded police

van Adder never took OJ's blood to the crime scene, Mr. Misinformed.
The jury aquitted because they were a bunch of uneducated people with a
chip on their shoulder and star-struck by a Heiseman Trophy winner.

The civil jury had no problem convicting him of his wife's killing on

Not that much difference between a bronze and a silver.
And given it would come at the expense of the friend, Bobby probably doesn't have any appetite in joining the chorus.
