  1. Wussup with Ebay? I keep getting emails from them to update my acct,
and after giving them name, birthdate, SS#, drivers license #, CC
info, Bank acct #'s, they STILL keep sending me requests for more
    info.
Has Ebay got problems or something?

It's not ebay, it's phishing. This website has a good explanation:

Precisely. These phishing emails get better by the day.

My policy is that if I get an email from eBay, Yahoo, etc saying my
account needs attention, I open a web browser and manually go to my account
by typing in www.ebay.com. Never, ever click the links - most of the links
are correct, but one or two in the email send you elsewhere. Your visit to
this elsewhere location also flags your email address for further spam
and/or sale of your address to other spammers. In other words, your email
account is now permanently hosed with spam.

they need comprehensive information in order to keep this very valuable
service running. You might try sending them your wife and kids' information
next. if you're single you should go through your neighbors' mail and get
their information and send it on. we need to keep this valuable service on
    the internet.

It's a scam. I get them all the time and I don't do eBay or PayPal.

Yeah, they use cheap hardware and when their off-brand hard drives
crash, they need that information again because they don't back it up.
Think of it as some penny-pinching Scot buying Asics shoes because he
doesn't want to shell out for real Nikes - they might feel fine for a
day or a week, but sooner or later those pieces o'[censored] will fail
big-time and our runner will regret it.

Tell ya what, I work with computers and have access to lots of
hardware, so if you send *me* that information, I'll make a copy on
1/4" tape and forward it to eBay; so next time they have a crash they
can just restore your data from the tape without bothering you.

  11. I am very concerned that, as a newbie internet user, you can have your
money stolen through hacking and phishing.

Please send the remainder of whatever money you have, in cash, to me,
for sakekeeping. I emailed you my postal address.

Well last month I stopped getting my bank statements and CC
statements, so I probably won't see it for a very long time, and I'm
quite sure your honest so I won't pay no mind to it.
