  1. Does anyone else read Miss Manners on Usenet? I stopped getting any postings about 2 months ago. At
first I thought she was just on vacation as that sort of thing has happened in the past - she'd be
gone for a week or 2 and then would reappear. This time she has not reappeared! I tried
unsubscribing and resubscribing but no luck. I checked on the internet and found her in Google
Groups and there were new postings from Jan at least. So does anyone know whether Usenet still
carries MM? The newsgroup is still listed but I don't know if it could be listed but just not be
active anymore. Don't know how those things work. Help!!! I need a Miss Manners fix.

How rude of her to disappear with no explanation!

I tried to subscribe to the group and while the group was listed it came up with zero posts. I even
asked it to go back 600 posts and still came up with nothing. Don't know why it would still be
listed if it no longer exists, but that seems to be the case.

I'm not sure exactly which group you're referring to, but alt.fan.miss- manners is available on
netnews.worldnet.att.net and currently contains 31 posts ranging from 2/9/04 through today.

Don't know what newsgroup you were referring to.

    As I told another poster it's clari.living.columns.miss_manners.

I know I can go onto Google groups and read it there but that's a nuisance. I want to read it on
usenet where I read all my other newsgroups. :-( Kate

    I'm referring to clari.living.columns.miss_manners

This is just for her columns. Other people cannot post to it. I've been reading it for many years
and all of a sudden it's gone. That is it's still listed and you can subscribe but you don't get any
posts. Haven't been any for several months.

Uh, sorry... Worldnet News apparently doesn't carry any clari... groups.
