Taken by the kiddo on a little hoof around Hollyweird after we went to the LA Kings game with GT. A very cool day.

I'm aware that I'm not quite the first to heap accolades on Jimi, but he's one of few guys who gets more unbelievable with time. I was in the car on a 4 hour drive when "Voodoo Chile" came on the radio. One of those tunes that you've heard enough to usually sort of gloss over, but he sure as [censored] had me believing on a dark night on Route 138. Filling-loosening power, nose-bleeding inversion.
It's pretty rare that an artist is so distinctive that anyone who borrows his style is immediately identifiable as a hack.

Except maybe SRV. He borrowed some of Jimi's style, but also made it his own.

Cool. I often wonder what he'd be doing today if he was still around.

I just threw up a little in my mouth.
Sorry dude. I was kidding.

Yeah what you meant to say was HIP HOP!!!!
That actually seems more likely, or more of a fusion of styles that might include hip-hop and other stuff. He could definitely get funky.
I believe that all hip-hop isn't bad, just a lot of the popular stuff is. That's true of a lot of styles. I find most popular music pretty awful.
