I think you're misunderstanding my point of view here. I'm not trying to
convince you to buy a DSLR, I couldn't care less what you buy. If what you
want is a pocket camera, buy a pocket camera, I have no problem with that.
I'm just chatting about DSLRs, that's all.
By the way, the reason why DSLRs are so much better for point 'n' shoot is
because the auto-exposure and auto-focus is virtually instant, allowing you
to capture the "decisive moment" very easily. Countless snappers have
complained about the "shutter lag" on digicams, which often take the photo a
second or two after you've pressed the button.
This isn't a problem for landscapes or posed photographs, but for candid
photography it's a major pain in the butt.
