  1. I need to send a small package to the USA but the recipient needs a tracking
number for it. I was just gonna send it via the Post Office but don't think
I'd get a number. Has anyone any idea who I could use to track it that way?

    Cheers.

DHL, but I'm not sure if they do a 'non-business' service (assuming it isn't
    a business thing).

DHL and the like cost a bomb - probably £40+.

What you need in Royal Mail Airsure from any Post Office. Normal
airmail costs plus £4. Details here:

  5. I usually get a tracking number from the Post Office - depends on the
service you buy. Most ebayers use them.

I'm pretty sure the Post Office will have a tracking method for one of
its higher end deliveries. I tracked a Priority Post (Canada Post
service) to France a few years ago. The International Postal Union gets
together and sets these things up.

Aha, this looks like a good one and £3.30 per item on top of your
normal postage does not sound all that bad. 😉
