Thought some might find this amusing (in a morbid sort of way)......I did.
Late last week at work one enterprising bloke decided to run "Pope Lotto". Basically it is a sweep (think Melb Cup) and he printed out the names of the 117 cardinals in random order and then put them inside a big envelope that he made up (A1 size) with 117 numbered squares on it. Squares were $1 each, with $50 for the winner and $67 being donated to the local chapel. I did ask the guy whether he had actually approached the Padre at the chapel before running the sweep but no, it is going to be a surprise.....hehehe.
Anyways, I paid for a few squares and last I heard, he had sold one entire field and was working on a second one. I guess that two people will be happy and the chapel will get a bonus $133.
