Just put it in your killfile and move on. Someone obviously wants to live
their "life" through a.s.d.l-c. Although I will warn you that she will soon
run off in a tizzy and proclaim that you'll never see her post here again
because someone [censored] her off .Then a month or so later you will see
another post saying that "it has returned" but things will be different this
time because you wont see any of its personal soap operas here again, but
soon it will go full circle. She will also use a different email address so
everyone conveniently sees her posts again. This has happened several times
since I've been here. and probably was happening before I was reading this
group.

Good lord. I didn't even read this post originally, but when I saw
Queenie had replied it piqued my curiosity. Jesus, Jaime. That's a
horrible thing to have happened, and I'm so glad you ended it. So many
women don't, at least not immediately, you know? Anyway, yes, of course
there are decent guys. The trick to landing one is not needing one, I
think. I've come to believe that the more you want and need a man in
your life, the lower the quality of man you will attract.

Yup. Please don't take it personally though, it's not meant that way
I'm sure. It's kind of a knee-jerk reaction for some women when they've
gone from one bad relationship to another to another. It's really hard
to say to yourself "Ok, so what am I doing wrong here that I keep ending
up with scumbags?" because that can lead to dangerous thoughts of
somehow "deserving" to be with scumbags. It's not a matter of not being
worthy of a decent guy, it's more a matter of not believing yourself
worthy, or being too scared to be alone, and thus attracting the wrong
guys without even being aware of it. It's totally fixable, but it's a
hard truth to face, especially when the wound is still fresh, so it's
natural to generalize and blame it on a lack of decent guys, in the heat
of the moment, even when you know that's not true _really._

I agree Chris. I've been lurking off and on here for 2 or 3 years and Ms.
Jaimie is constantly looking for attention and pity. To tell the truth, when
I first read her post, my reaction was, "If I were her boyfriend, I'd have
to [censored] slap her once a day"

That being said, I am a female that truly despises domestic violence, but
just reading Ms. Jamie's posts here tell you alot about what her behavior
must be like at home. I hope somebody bonds that poor [censored] out of jail.

I can imagine this nitwit having that man cornered, while she is raving like

I went to her web site and she has a disgusting photo of herself along with
this note:

If you'll notice, another boyfriend dumped her crazy ass. You could do a
search of this site and probably find numerous posts of how she was wronged
and probably a suicidal threat or two. She seems to have made it her life's
goal to be pathetic.

When I spoke of my reaction to her proclamation, it was from the view that
we are only getting half of the story from a woman who is mentally
unbalanced and prone to hyperbole.

"male" hamster only to have a bunch of little furballs arrive shortly
thereafter. Are you going to keep them all?

Sorry about the guy, but as you said, better to find out now, before you
became more involved. As somebody else posted, there is simply no excuse for
this, and abusers virtually always get worse over time.

Sorry to hear about the BF. If you want my advice (no guarantee on
that), the key to finding a nice person is to look for something else.
I met my wife while looking for someone just to hang out with and go to
movies with... a rebound girl. I met the girl I lived with before
looking for same. I was with her for five years. It's like the story of
the Yellow Emperor and the Dark Pearl of the Tao, but only kind of
superficially. Google for it. I'm sure it's there somewhere.
