Treated myself to a new printer the other day.
Bought myself an Epson Stylus Photo R300 inkjet for £129.99
from Argos.
It has memory card slots so you can insert a memory card
from a digital camera (Compact Flash, Secure Digital, Memory
Stick Pro, xD & Smartmedia).
The printer has a little LCD (not a colour LCD) screen where
you can tell it how to print, what images from the memory
card to print, layout, images per page, then press print.
Printing off a couple of images taken using my Olympus C4000
straight from the memory card onto 6x4 epson photo glossy
gives amazing results - I'm hard pushed to see any dithering
in the print. "Grayscale" prints are nothing to write home
about though.
Its a 6 colour printer, with 6 seperate ink cartridges,
(Black, Cyan, Light Cyan, Red, Light Magenta and Yellow) -
the print heads are in the printer, not on the cartridge.
Printing a map from Multimap gives very very good results
compared to my old HP 610C.
Not sure if I'll be able to scan a printout in and still
keep detail to show you the quality of the print.
Still, I'm pleased with the printer!
