  1. I apologize again for steering the group off-topic onto ride-related content, but hey, alt. means
anything goes, right? So here's something mtb related for a change of pace:

Adam and I meet at the park at 4pm a couple days ago. It's about 30 degrees, clear and getting
colder. We're geared up, but I have to loan him my birthday gore-tex wondercoat. I find the gay
roadie limey to wear. He won't let me photograph him, since he forgot his SS, but is on his
big-travel boinger. Pride and all that, you know.

Here are some truly mediocre sequence shots. The first 3 were taken on the only steep patch of
Crestline, but sure looks flat in the photo. O well, come and ride it, sometime.

    Somebody slap that grinning idiot:

These last 2 I didn't think would even come out, since it was getting dark. I sent Adam ahead with
the camera about 3 miles earlier and told him to shoot something cool. He rode all the cool stuff,
then stopped at the bottom. O well, these two were taken toward the bottom of Hulls Gulch where it
smooths out and you can really get cruising.

    Bottom of Hulls:

    Ride on, boys and girls....

I wonder how many you'll lose with that one. Swoosh, swoosh!

    Don't they all?

So, lemme get this straight...you're saying....people here RIDE BIKES? Hmmm, I thought this was some
sort of newsgroup about humping. Hell, that's why I joined! :-)

(Maybe I'll remember bring the camera next ride..though there'll be no humping, I assure you. I keep
thinking "oh, it'll just be more pictures like the last ones" but pictures are always fun, I guess)

Ya never know, but my motto has always been, if the weather's good enough for golf, you oughta be on
    your mountainbike.
