The URL had a rude word in it, the URL had a rude word in it, you're gunna get into trouble...

The URL filter here includes the word "games". I went looking for a site with info on a game for my kids for Christmas.....and became an internet criminal instantly.

It appears the "games" cannot possibly be work related so it is on the list.

luckily we don't have that problem 😉
in fact its encouraged for our employees to look at games on the net.
for reference. and play them. alot.

Training games {:-)

I couldn't believe it when I did the Cert IV in Workplace Assessment and
Training (?), we had to look up stuff like ice-breaker games, etc, etc, etc.

Sad part was the other 5 were all birds who thought choccies were great
rewards. Oh well, wifey was very happy.

Depends on what sort of training you do. Dealing with 16 or 20 hostile,
long term unemployed people of all backgrounds and attitudes can be
erm,,,, interesting.... Some days I wouldn't dare try any ice-breaker
games, other days I wouldn't dare not. Just depends on the group.

Chuckle. Have a mate who finished a contract and decided that as a
mature worker it might be a bit of a while before next one so goes in
and registers. Now a few months prior they would have left him be and he
just would have done his own thing. There is a Centrelink powerpoint
presentation around that says "sending mature age applicants on course
is a waste of time", but that isn't okay these times.

First it was "job seeking" skills. Some young git armed with "101
Resumes" "I waited until they they mentioned "correct spelling" then
proceeded to point all the ones they had made". As far as he was
concerned it was total warfare. Polite, but still warfare.

After he absolutely insisted that they show him how to respond to "job
and person specs", they released him. Apparently none of the trainers
any of these mob employ have any experience with compiling real job
applications and it was a bit hard to argue about real job stuff that he
took along.
