  1. I am sorry about two OT posts in such a short period, but I wanted to
mention Lance will be in Pittsburgh for his tour of hope this afternoon. It
is a beautiful day here and I plan on riding to lunch (Thai food) and go
cheer on Lance for his ride for cancer this afternoon. What a great cause
    and it should be fun.

See if I was still fat and didn't LC to get to 180's, I wouldn't enjoy
riding around on my bike like I do! There, that made it more on topic.

Take care all and enjoy the day!

Hmm...I weigh 240 and I enjoy riding around on my bike too! 🙂

Have fun on the tour of hope....I wish I could be there.

Here in flat land Florida I've seen several 300+ LB folks out on
racing bikes, some even ride fast. Riding a bicycle keeps the weight
off your joints and you can adjust your calorie burn rate to suit your
needs. Back a few years ago when I was restricting my calorie intake
I noticed even a 10 MPH ride would raise my metabolism.

I'm completely jealous Curt. I hope you enjoyed every minute of it.
    :-)
    Lance is quite a person.

    Take care,
    Carmen

  5. It was great. He rode across a bridge a few feet away from me and then he
went into PNC park, to speak about the tour of hope (cancer tour). It was
really nice and I hope we can find a cure someday soon.

Great day. I had a few beers and rode 30+ miles tonight. I love my new
    light for night riding.

Very cool. I don't have very many people I'd like to meet, but I'd go
a bit out of my way to meet him.

What sort of light is it? LED, xenon, krypton...?

    Take care,
    Carmen

One watt LED light from Planet Bike. It has 30 hours of run time.
Excellent lighting in very dark streets and trails.
