Well, with wild boar, that's actually a sport in Central and South America,
and is practiced by some in the US, especially Down South. Hunt them with a
pack of Pit Bulls or American Bulldogs, who track, corner, and hold the pig,
while the hunter dispatches it with a big ass knife. The dogs wear thick
leather armor.

I suppose you could do that with deer, although, as John Hanson has pointed
out, it is illegal in much of the US. Are there any laws about hunting with
dogs Down Under?

handle.

Nice looking knives. The steel looks unusual. I couldn't find any reference
to what it is. Is your blade marked with the steel type? And what is the
price range for there cheap, and more expensive, knives?

I dont recall any markings (will check later if I remember), but it
does say on the main page that it is tempered carbon steel (whatever
that means - my engineering degrees are electrical).

Means nothing. Like saying a table is made of wood. Except for ceramic
blades or primitive obsidian blades, all knives are made of tempered carbon
steel.

Some of their designs looked interesting. You think they'd mail order one to

The larger Texas deer weigh maybe 150 lbs. at their biggest.
Most are smaller than that.

All true, but, Klingon, the language of the Home Planet, is a
non-English one. The one you are referring to is more properly
Klinglish, the English version of the "real" Klingon.

I lurk, mostly. Except for you and a very few others, the interactions seem
a bit, uh...thin.

Of course, MFW seems to being through a "thin" time at the moment.

Some of the knife forums seem pretty good, but, again, I mostly lurk. Trying
