I thought he was rather better in the film than David Hasselhoff, for
example, but maybe that's not saying much. In a film of over-the-top
lines it took me a moment to realise that his speech was actually a
reasonably accurate summary of the truth:

"Quit? You know, once I was thinking of quitting when I was diagnosed
with brain, lung and testicular cancer all at the same time. But with
the love and support of my friends and family, I got back on the bike
and won the Tour de France five times in a row."

You couldn't possibly make that up.

Indeed. Though it's a little out of date now - perhaps they should dub
the "five" over with "seven" for future pressings.
