I agree that people shouldn't put all WebTVers down because there are
complete idiots who use that product. But bragging about all your "stuff"
isn't going to make anyone feel better about you, it just makes you look
like a self-satisfied jerk.

First, one of the weaknesses of webtv is that for whatever reason,
users never seem to figure out to quote what they are responding to,
which makes it quite difficult for others to figure out what they are
talking about. Second, a shocking number of people posting from webtv
are completely unaware of any basic usenet etiquette, and tend to make
fools of themselves and annoy the hell out of everyone else. Third,
don't worry about "wearing out" your monitor; that's just plain silly.
Monitors tend to be far, far more durable than other parts of the
system. The monitor will likely still be okay long after you've
scraped the hard drive, mother board, video card, etc. I've had a
computer of some type since about 1984 and I don't recall ever having
a monitor die, although I have upgraded them periodically as the
technology improved.

That's a built in fault with WebTV. Someone here a year or two ago
posted what they need to do and it's not as simple as "reply". Their
way of reading messages is bulletin board style which is why you tend
to see WebTV comments with no context for the rest of us.
