  1. Someone please post instructions how to "kill file" someone and then how to reinstate, although
after this week I don't think I will. Yes, I'm tired of getting non recumbent posts.

Y'know if we stop responding to non-recumbent posts, maybe this board will get back to cycling
information. And yes, I realize this isn't recumbent related, but I have no idea how to get the
    information otherwise.

    Thanks for bearing with this.......

Sorry. Doesn't work with Google. Use a real newsreader and you can killfile people or threads.

Mikael, Your sage advice only goes so far. Having a 'real' newsreader or even using
Outlook/OutlookExpress as a newsreader only is useful if you connect to a 'Real' Newsserver.

    Joe,

Your ISP optonline.com provides a newsserver Here are their instructions on how to set up your
    news groups:
    optonline.netArticle 3D1993916

In addition to your ISPs newsserver, you can make use of some of the other NNTP servers that are
(still) free. These may provide more timely posts that your ISPs NNTP server. The one that Mikael
    and I use is: news.uni-berlin.denews.uni-berlin.de

But first you need a better news reader than Outlook if you want to really be efficient in filtering
    out the malcontents.

There are a couple that are free. "FreeAgent" is one. Another, the one that I use is Gravity.

    speckz.commodules.php
    &orderby=titleA&show=10

Super Gravity 2.6 Full is the latest version .

Life is too short to put up with the A$$h*les that insist on spewing their vitriol in this or
    any other NG.

Well I sorta took that as selfevident. But since its Newsgroups 101 you are right.

Hi Joe: This is Bill, I can't help you on the kil file issue, I just lurk and got thru the list
and pick those that seem of interest and glide right over the other Bull.

  6. Thank you Cletus,

Always enjoy your posts. I did have Newsgroups set up with Outlook Express and then it didn't
work when I switched from an my local ISP to Optonline.net. I'd then get a kickback that said my
server didn't accept newsgroups. So much else going on at the time, that I didn't spent any more
    research time.

Your hints here will be a big help.

    Thanks Again,

    Joe
