Which, of course, begs the question: if a man makes a mistake in the woods but there's no woman
around to criticize him, does it really count?
I had to break my wife of this after we were first married. I'd make some mistake, one that was
self-evident, and she'd be on me (never having done that while we were dating.) Well, I started
making comments about how men really do marry their mothers, and after a few times, she got the
picture. Now, I'm nearly nag-free!
She still [censored] every now and again about the toilet seat, but I remind her that the hinge works
in both directions. That having been said, I accept the rationale that the commode looks better when
the seat and lid are down. But if I forget to close the thing up, the world isn't going to end.
