OT: for Boston-area folks

Even though we're all working toward a goal of losing weight, I hope you'll all consider coming to see The Diet Monologues, at the Theatre at Old South (TAOS), Nov. 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, 13, 14. Curtain is 8pm for all other days but Sunday - Sunday curtain is 2pm. Yes, you will get to see me in this, playing the role of Linda, and singin' my heart out. The Diet Monologues are about the struggles of fat people, almost entirely women, and how sometimes, one needs to accept one's self wherever one is. I say that knowing that "accepting one's self" doesn't mean complacency - at least, not for me. But for me, my journey is about being ok with where I am, as I move onward as well - without that self-acceptance, I can't even get up the motivation to move on. So, I hope you'll join the cast and crew for a fun look at the struggle we're all going through. Yes, this is a comedy. -- Nancy Howells (don't forget to switch it, and replace the 😉 to send mail).

Even though we're all working toward a goal of losing weight, I hope
you'll all consider coming to see The Diet Monologues, at the Theatre at
Old South (TAOS), Nov. 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, 13, 14. Curtain is 8pm for all
other days but Sunday - Sunday curtain is 2pm.
Yes, you will get to see me in this, playing the role of Linda, and
singin' my heart out.
The Diet Monologues are about the struggles of fat people, almost
entirely women, and how sometimes, one needs to accept one's self
wherever one is.
I say that knowing that "accepting one's self" doesn't mean complacency
- at least, not for me. But for me, my journey is about being ok with
where I am, as I move onward as well - without that self-acceptance, I
can't even get up the motivation to move on.
So, I hope you'll join the cast and crew for a fun look at the struggle
we're all going through. Yes, this is a comedy.

Priscilla, lives in Roslindale, works on Comm Ave in Boston

Oh, I'm so coming to see this! I had already gotten an email about
this and it sounded interesting, but now that I know you're going to
be in it, I'm DEFINITELY going to be there!

Yes, it's at the Old South Church. I'm a little confused, because the
final rehearsals appear to be initialed something differently than OSC,
but maybe I'm just a clueless newbie, because all the publicity says Old
South Church. I'll know more after the first read-through, next Friday.
