My dad used USB to hook a regular sized keyboard and a mouse to his laptop.
It works just fine.

I have had spare monitors for years.

I guess I was worried that a 2nd monitor would increase the
blue-screen-deaths and such.

Also, I assumed it would be difficult to configure. It might have been
difficult on older Windows OSs.

It occurs to me that you might be planning the 2nd keyboard and mouse for
the second monitor I was suggesting. This would not work well as the
monitors do not duplicate each other. The 2nd monitor is extra desktop
space. By viewing both monitors at once, you could view an email on one and
USENET on the other, as an example.

Yes, your right, I was going to hook it up that way. It's not a big deal.
I'm not ready to spend a lot of money right now to link up 2 computers. It
was just a thought spured by the thread that got me thinking. Thanks anyway.
