I know most of you have probably killfiled he/she/it, but can anyone explain him/her/it in a way that I can at least understand why these multiple posts in every newsgroup under the sun (and moon) that nobody is ever going to read? Trolls are typically looking for a reaction, but the MI5 junk is posted so many places that he/she/it will never even see a reply. I like to think I understand the various types of trolls, but this one has me baffled.

Not a troll, definitely a kook. Honestly, probably someone who is minorly or majorly mentally ill.

Don't waste your time trying to understand, the internets have let loose too many kooks--ignore them.

I read those posts and some of the paranoia is justified. Here in the United States the average city dweller is caught on camera about 50 times per day. ATMs, mini-markets, big markets, traffic cameras, and more. Here in California the state capital, Sacramento, the government is installing cameras to monitor people walking down the street, and some may have directional microphones to listen in on conversations. The Bush administration is making the '1984' scenario come true. They just slip something in until people accept it and then suddenly you find that the Constitution is something Bush would just as soon use as toilet paper. M15 might be a strange person, but my information above comes directly from the news that I watch every night. Be afraid, very afraid. Bill Baka

I guess if you look hard enough you can find somebody somewhere who actually believes some of this stuff. A metal military helmet of WWII vintage would at least protect from the real world hazards. I wouldn't want to be seen shopping at Wal-mart wearing one, but, to each his own. Bill Baka
