  1. Despite my strongest efforts to bomb this semester by overloading with
15 credit hours (along with work 50 hours a week _and_ build a house:-)
I somehow managed to pull Dean's List

Yeah, what a difference here in the Dirty South........ Our flashlights must
be plastic and below a certain size and weight so they cannot be used as
"clubs", heck.. we cannot carry a sap. the only less than lethal we have is
a 26" hickory baton and OCS spray.

Congrats, but you did it the sucker way. Get rid of all that unselfish
police "make the world a better place" stuff, and be an English major like
me. 15 credits every semester, Dean's list every semester. Last day of
classes was yesterday, so finals start tomorrow, but unless I don't show up
I'm guaranteed, at worst, 3 As and 2 Bs. Four English courses and one Comp.
Lit, baby...find time to read, get an A.

Just messing with you with that first bit: I don't have distractions like "a
job"or "building a home." But my CrossCheck build is really going to
interfere with studies. And there are a lot of bars full of a lot of women
    here in College Park...

    Congratulations.

    Chris

I thought all these courses were gonn be all that "ginder gentler society"
BS.. granted, no longer is it "kick @ss, take names, and transport to the
county lock-up". but oddly enough I found them to be both fascinting and
enlightening studies in modern policing tactics. Really went into the nitty
gritty of problem analasys, and problem oriented solutions. Whne I took the
Finals, I was surprised at how much I actually learned.

We have a bar here I visit now and again... Damned place is full of off
duty cops, dispatchers, EMT's, and E.R. Nurses!
I can't for the life of me figure out why people would want to leave work
and go hang out with the same folks thye spend 50 hours a week with.. Except
the nurses are cute and damend fun to party with, especially when we end up
at somebody's house skinny dipping in the pool at 03:00!-)

Nothing wrong with skinny-dippin with nurses, just so long as you keep
    you pecker from..... pecking <harrumph>
