Oh yes me too! --- although only one serious incident where I was injured
( a week ago)! Most of my bike "crashes" ( forced dismounts) have been
induced by pedestrians -- you know those people who hurl verbal abuse at you
when you deign to ride on the cycle path that they are walking on!

muddy/rocky off road descents! I don't think I've crashed on a road since I
wheelied past a full pub garden coming to embarrassing grief while trying to
show off! (in my youth, I must add!)

and was already "known to them". The vases were not the most valuable
that they have.

Much what I was saying myself, four months ago. As of four months ago I
hadn't crashed a road bike in thirty-three years. Thing is, when you
fall off a mountain bike you usually aren't going (by road bike
standards) all that fast. I've never had more than scrapes and bruises
from falling off a mountain bike.

Be careful on them there roads!
