  1. Okay, I'm hung over from yesterday and I have a craving for
Cheetos that just can't be denied. Well, Kraft Mac N Cheese
(horrors!) would work too, but unfortunately I don't have
either and have no access to the store. Bummers!

Who else gets cravings for things that you have to have when
you want it, and what cravings are they for and why?

If I'm hung over I usually crave spicy food, like tamales or
beef chili or tacos or corn chips with cheese dip (guess
those would all fit the cheese/cheetos theme).

Regular cravings usually involve potato chips - I'm a kettle
chip fanatic and I get salt, rather than sweets, cravings. I
even like potato chips on hamburgers.

Thanks a lot, now I want to make a grilled cheese sandwich.

  3. Back in the days of practising alcoholism I used to crave
Harvey's Hamburgers with chips and gravy. Excellent
    hangover food.

Now I just get cravings for cheerios - the real stuff, not
the "store brand". (Whats up with that?) - and 3 days later
I'm still playing with the monopoly game that came with the
    box of cheerios.

    take care Liz

Occasionally I have a craving for instant mashed potatoes.
OH The HORROR of it all! 🙂 This happens about once a year.
I think I'm trying to work out some past instant mashed
potato trauma from my childhood. hehe 🙂 (That would be my
    mother's cooking.)

I usually crave tomato products when hung over. This could
be tomato soup, or more often, spaghetti-Os.

Liver, Bacon & Onions. I hated it as a kid and I hate it as
an adult but, God help me, every few years, when the moon is
full and the tide is high and the toads are spawning, I am
drawn against my will to some cheap highway diner across the
state line to partake of bovine entrails.

Tonight my craving was for one of those ice cream drinks
with sweet liqueurs like they make at TGIFriday. I haven't
actually been inside a Fridays for years, and I didn't
think I could handle the decor so I didn't go, but I'm
still thinking about delicacies like Razzbaretto or
    something more bizarre.

Whatever isn't in my house, or immediate area. No grapefruit
juice for a greyhound and that's all I want. Doesn't matter,
    whatever I don't have, that's what I want!

I was almost gearing myself up for a grilled ham and

    make 'em. <g>

I like those drinks. Vanilla ice cream mixed with Kahlua and
Amaretto in a blender makes a killer milk shake. Add some
frozen raspberries or strawberries and it is even better.

Of course, I usually spike mine with vodka to give it an
extra kick. With all the other flavors I cannot taste the
vodka, so the result is I drink a milkshake and fall flat on
my ass when I try to stand up (adding five shots of liquor
    does not help any).

A few years ago I bought a jumbo can of Chef Boyardee
ravioli from Sam's club and I found out really quick that my
body can only take about three squares of the stuff at a
time before becoming ill. I do not know what they put in it
but it is extremely heavy. It feels like a bowling ball in
    my stomach.
