I have only 3 flaws. My first flaw is thinking that I only have 3 flaws.

If you can get through the first day, you can get through the
    rest. Been there, done that.

FWIW, the physical addiction is pretty much gone after three days.

Unfortunately, the psychological addiction is harder to get over.

Ya but the difference between not smoking and not eating incorrectly is that
you have to eat, you don't have to smoke. She has the eating down so now
that the physical is about over Our Luna is good to go. Right Luna ??!!!

    17 years...........

I still get an urge for a smoke now and then.

That old habit is always back there in the shadows waiting for me.

    Yup, same here.

I think of myself as one cigarette away from two packs a day.

The idea is to avoid that first one.

Once I'd quit for three years, and someone gave me a cigar on the
birth of his son. It wasn't even a good cigar, it was an "It's a Boy."

Now I turn down some very excellent cigars. I've been doing that for
15-20 years, but every now and then I think about having a really
    good cigar.

FWIW, I find dieting much harder than quitting smoking, though there
were times that I tried to quit smoking and couldn't get through the
    first day.
