The first Christmas card junk mail has just arrived at work today.
I daren't go to a garden centre now for fear of finding a Satan's
grotto!

grotto!Ouch!
We need some kind of consumer-reaction to this [censored]. Maybe a big
campaign to boycott the first supermarket[1] to stock a line of xmas
[censored] and/or put up 'decorations'? Coordinate it online, and run it
nationwide from the time of the first confirmed sighting until the
start of the following year. If no such [censored] is seen before Decemeber,
then no boycott: the campaign is successful.[1] Likewise "shop of type XYZ" in however many categories can
be identified and organised for.--

Chritsmas displays. I make a point of going to the duty manager, noting
that there is still a quarter of a year to go before Christmas, and that I
will not be shopping there again until the New Year. This is only worthwhile if enough people do it, of course.

You urbanites must be way behind. Up here in Sticksville we now have a
"christmas shop" that's open 12 months of the year (although I believe it
closes for the christmas holidays...)--

twelve nights from 24th December, taxed for the rest of December and
January, double rate in November, triple in October, astronomical the
rest of the year. The money'll go to good causes like giving the hospitals a proper clean.

Can we also have a rebate for folk like me that go and get theirs from the

Or a flogging for peasants who pinch stuff from one's woods, depending
if you have Rights of Common or not.--

So what exactly can you remove from a steam train with a pair of
secateurs?--
