OS now do a series of "Roman Maps". I looked at the copy in Ottakars, and there were indeed once two
neighbouring settlements in that region named "Slabus Pavine" and "Slabus Faerinium".

Could have something to do with Richard's link pointing to somewhere which can only accurately be
described as "Lincolnshire"...

Bryan, sweetie, Rich has obviously not got O Level geography, as the bit of the map he gives the URL
for is actually in *Lincolnshire* ;-)

Actually there is a bit of Norfolk which has the edge of the Fens and the Broads are also *flat*,
but yes, there are plenty of undulations in Norfolk - some of them nasty little bu**ers too ;-) We
may not be as undulating as the Highlands, or the Peaks or the Lake District, but flat we are not!

The PSF did indeed at one point ask about the Latin for "beware low-flying paving slabs". You are
probably onto something here.

*Cough* I did GCSE's: Not O Levels. I'm not an old fart ;-) However you are right that I didn't
study geography for any longer than I had to!

And I didn't actually *say* the URL was in Norfolk. (Phew, my word-twisting lawyer got me out of
