OS Get A Map - Fails in Firefox?

Nope, tried it here and it works just fine. Have you updated to latest
Firefox and Java releases, and are your graphics drivers also up to
date?? (what you are seeing is the sort of thing a dud graphics API
might produce).

Not on Firefox 1.0.4 (latest version)

It behaves exactly the same as your MSIE6 example.

Works fine here (FF1.0.4/Win32).

I rather have a problem with Opera, which seems to create a loop
printing the "Last search was for" as some kind of wallpaper all over
the Get-a-map window [1]. But it still works 🙂

You ought to print that out and get it framed, since there are _very_
few sites MSIE would give a _correct_ result of 🙂

Thanks for all replies so far.

This continues to baffle and irritate me. Tried with very few other
programs open. Tried with no other tabs open. Even tried FF in Safe
Mode, but the only difference was that, after clicking Proceed, the
opening UK map page came up in a smaller window, (something between
800 x 600 and 600 x 480). It was still wrongly laid out as before.

Some sort of Java issue? Any further ideas would be appreciated
please. Goes against the grain to have to open up MSIE6 for this site.

OS appear to exclude FF from browsers explicitly supported.

To further isolate this, I tried opening FF from Profile Manager in a
very basic profile, and the problem was not present. But I'm very
loathe to lose all the tweaks, changes and extensions I've added over
that long period. So would still hope to find the explicit cause.

Don't think it's a problem inherent to Firefox.

(By the way, I know the place in question quite well - it's within
walking distance of Reigate, where I'm sitting at the moment.)

Thanks both. Reckon it's down to some flaw in my FF profile. A very
basic old profile doesn't have the problem. Hate the thought of having
to start afresh though ;-(
