Fruits & Vegetables (although I presume both are "commercial" in the
sense that all growers sell them to make money).
Although we attend local Farmers Markets throughout a good part of the
year (this IS California) & there are numerous organic vendors (in
Berkeley, frequently exclusively), we rarely purchase from them because,
frankly, their prices are ususally double. Not to mention that I'm not
convinced (& the excellent state of my health has never shown me
otherwise) that organically-grown produce has a greater "nutritional"
value.
As far as taste, neither me nor my husband has found that organic
"tastes" better (we're democratic about trying free samples), which
probably would be the only reason we would pay extra.
How does everybody else view this subject personally (or even
scientifically if you must)?
