Orange EVO4 Review ?

No review or comment on the current EVO4. I've not ridden one.

However, Orange are usually decent bikes for the money, and any hard-tail at
the sort of money an EVO4 costs is likely to be well made regardless of
name.

So the question is really whether its got the things you need ? Braise-ons
for whatever you want to carry, etc.
Are you after a bike for riding trails, etc. (as opposed to downhill bombing
and jumps) ?
Is it available in a size which fits you properly (only a trip to a shop
will confirm that IMHO) ?
Are there any bits on it which you dislike for whatever personal reason you
hold which make it expensive to correct (eg. wrong brakes, wrong levers,
wrong gear system, wrong fork, etc..) ?

If you still want it after the above, I'd be very surprised if you were
disappointed by the Orange.

I have an old Gringo (8 speed rear, V-brakes) with recently fitted s/hand
air-shocks. The air shocks are a big improvement over the original coil and
elastomer. I'm sure a more modern machine with 100-130mm of suspension and
disks might be better on rough muddy stuff, but the Gringo does all I need.

That's a method of joining that involves slow cooking in an oven with
frequent basting ;-)
