I have it on good authority that a quick way to have the effects of
alcohol, but without the possibility of people smelling it on the
breath and being suspected as an alcoholic, is to apply it to an
intimate membrane (by soaking a "Feminine hygiene" product in vodka
and sticking it where the sun don't shine. This works equally well
    for men and women, apparently.)

Err, doesn't it sting somewhat? Hang on - I've just realised.
Which sort are we talking about here? Internal? Ouch, if so.

Yes, I meant internal. Well, you can't knock their ingenuity!

You have to really clobber it though - it's the only regenerative organ in
the human body. (We must be natural boozers.)

I've heard different ideas on whether an open blister should be left
uncovered to let the air get to it or covered after applying an antiseptic
ointment. What does the group think and what ointment can people

    recommend?

Personally, I'd never use antiseptic cream on it - I've found it often has
the opposite effect ie causes the wound to go septic(presumably because the
wound is better just washed and kept clean). If I have time on my side I'd
just let the skin harden on its own. If I dont ie out on the hills, I try
not to open the blister but if it is that far gone, best thing is to wash it
thoroughly and leave it to the air overnight to harden.

I'm in trouble every other day then :-)

Rooney is in trouble all the time.

You reckon I could get the effect quicker by pouring it on my cuts?

I was taught this interesting fact during an alcohol awareness
lecture. Most of the attendees made "Urrrgh"" noises but I seem to
remember a few interested murmurings too.

Another way is to fill an eye bath with vodka and rinse the eyes, or put
vodka in a mist spray and spay it in the eyes. Straight into the blood
    stream.

I've never tried this you understand, my wife is a psychiatric nurse
specialist, her specialism is alcohol addiction/abuse.

The things she tells me that you wouldn't believe!

Crisp packet bags make a good first aid covering for blisters. Fold a
double layer over the blister and stick in place with plasters or
similar. The plastic the bags are made from puts a nice friction free
    surface over the blister.

Important safety tip: get any remaining salt off the bag first.

    Skin?

    Otherwise your blisters wouldn't heal!

Minor repair work, in comparison, and probably not much more complicated
that normal cell replacement. Do widespread or deep damage and what grows
over is more form than function.

Otoh I could donate you half my liver, and in a matter of weeks we'd both
have a complete liver in full working order, in comparison.
