Funny.....the folks at the local BMX track will not let me on the track. They say my single-speed
isn't a BMX bike..... Other than 26" wheels I see no difference at all.

ah, hypocritical elitism is rampant in our society...

the local BMX track lets me on w/ no problem. Although they won't let me race....oh well.

The local velodrome would not let me on the track.

    You, or your bike?

Velodromes generally don't allow bikes with brakes, QR skewers, or non-fixed gear. (Allen head
skewers should be ok.) OTOH, some velodromes will have track bikes for rent for a small fee.

Actually, I've raced the velodrome about ten years ago, and did quite well. It was R/C cars however,
    and not bikes.

Yeah, bikes without a freewheel! They do have bikes to rent, but you have to take some sort of
course before you ride. I think I'd rather ride the BMX track next to it though.

_ Is that tension seeker on a spring (ie. derailluer-like)? or is it just put in a fixed position?
Regardless, where did you get it?

    _ Thanks,
