  1. "Last Thursday and Friday, I was in London for a conference about drugs," said Millar. "I feel that I have a new responsibility in the fight against drugs. I want to be a voice in the clean up of the sport for the coming generations. I can't forget the mistakes from the past. I want to be an example every day now." -- David Miller

I'm open to the possibility that David Miller isn't doping anymore... na, i'm just saying that. Doe anyone think he's still clean?

Saline.feed? What's your take on this?

We already know that David Millar is proven liar and fraud. He even called his whistleblower Cofidis teammate & roommate, Philippe Gaumant a 'Nutter'. And he never apologized for that false representation. Millar is still a fraud.

Only imaginery Corinthians with super work ethics and families can train 25,000+ miles per, do gym workouts, intensity sessions, visit with physicians each week yet ignore their medical advice, attend sponsorship functions, race 100+ days a year, could be competitive despite having one testicle and having their testosterone levels decline each day and somehow avoid mono or a gladular illness. Floyd, Tyler, Lance, Jan, Ivan.

It is plain for a blind man to see.

David Millar is as clean as Bradley Wiggins and Team Cofidis taken as a whole.

They are all on the peptide hormones (HRT at 400% above normal) programs. With some anti-anemia sauce, asthma and corticoids too.

    Thanks for asking.

Millars making the correct noises, HR - but do I think he's clean?
Paul Kimmage on Newstalk's sportsprogramme (106.3 FM between 19.00hrs and 22.00hrs) said that Millar's up to his neck in it.

As Shakespeare says "he doth protest too much......"

I really suspected that was the case. I mean, if the guy was running mid-pack, then I'd say, okay, I'll believe him. But, you dope you win, followed by, you're clean and you still win? What?

    Naw. It's not possible.

If he is still doping then he is a world class [censored]. It would almost be as bad as Armstrong's innocent man act.

He could be off the juice. Being somewhat a prologue specialist, it's not like he has to worry about recovery.

That's true....... But chances are that he is on something to give him an advantage in the short haul.......
Not to sound like Flyer..........But I will give it a shot.
Millar took lessons from the Australian pursuit team.
Millar knows he will only be tested infrequantly.
Millar sells Nike* model called "Haul Ass for the Short Term."
Millar spoke to Floyd,Lance,Jan, and Ivan.......All frauds.....

*Nike has to be mentioned at least once.

  7. I found less difference between riders for PN prologue, so I would think there is less PEDs on Paris-Nice!

  8. Paul Kimmage is a sour [censored] anyway. Just because Le Blaireau mocked the size of his todger.

lol! you should just create a template for flyer so that he can just fill in the blanks for every post.

  10. Millar - why would he work with Checchini?

Ofcourse, he said he stopped working with him, Armstrong also said he stopped working with Ferrari I believe.

I assume Millar actually has stopped working with Checchini.

The pertinent question is, if stridently anti-doping, why work with him in the first place.

You cannot step on the soap box, and have the intention of getting up and being an advocate, yet working with a guy who has been implicated. It does not work that way, any academics in ethics around here to confirm that?

Even if Scianndri is his manager annd recommended it, since he was a Checchini protege, even it Ferrari and Checcini have information that is superior to any other coach in the cycling field.

Bad luck. You cannot be outspoken, yet have these ties. He may not have the tie, but he was prepared to, and saw nothing wrong with it. That goes to mentality.

Hmm, can I answer after Stage 4?

For me it's not so much the Paris-Nice Prologue, which is short, and as someone mentioned, he doesn't really need to recover. Stage 14 of last year's Vuelta is the one I'm having trouble swallowing. Millar is a talented rider, but could Millar clean beat a doped Vino, Valverde, or Cancellara? Over 30+ km? I don't know if I can buy that...

  12. When he says he's clean he probably means he's not riding with the benefits of EPO, although taking other stuff as previous posters mentioned

Which is a strange position to take. Dope. Get caught. Show genuine remorse. Make sympathetic noises about turning over a new leaf. Make the decision to return, but return "clean", but clean only in terms of EPO.

He seems to be a complex individual with a greater level of self awareness than most sports stars. He is one person who I thought would admit that riding at the top level requires help.

By the way he mentioned he wants to ride the London Olympics. I thought he was banned by the IOC for life.

hmmm, I could see some expediency here, with Millar, put the Brits down for a 3'54" for the 4 kms teams pursuit. They will beat the WR and the Australians. (btw, I'm Australian)

    Millar,
    Wiggins,
    Hayles
    Manning

    (Cavendish, Newton)

I think they will beat the Australians

    Goss
    Lancaster
    Mcgee
    Roberts

    (Brown, Dawson, Jamieson, Renshaw)

Millar will not win an individual medal on the track, but he will win them the gold medal in the teams. As it is, they are about 0.5 of a second outside the Australians I think.

  14. I think that the term "clean" in the pro peleton means something entirely different than 100% PED-free (which is what most fanboys mean when they say "clean"😉. That is; I beleive that among pro cyclists, a certain level of doping is considered compulsory in the sport. All of the riders who proclaim they're "clean" mean they're within this expected level. I'm not sure exactly what this "acceptable level" is but it certainly must include microdosing EPO to bring your hematocrit level right to the 50% limit. So I'd say Millar might be "clean" by the pro cycling standard.

    True dat, dog.

I think people's perception of doping in cycling has changed considerably since OP. I think people are starting to come to grips with the fact that their favorite champion might dope, and, after mulling it over during all the OP [censored], they've decided it's okay. It doesn't make them a bad person if they cheat when everyone around them is cheating in a sport with a ripe tradition for cheating.

I was watching that video feed from youTube of Ulrich drilling the final kilos of the Olympics with Kloden and Vino just able to pull through. Kloden and Vino -- two guys with pretty stunning pedal mechanics, but next to Ulrich, they looked like club riders in over their head. The way Ulrich kept his big chest cavity perched over the bike... it remindeds me of my favorite rider: Moser. And the rpms where in the 100 range.

    No PEDs can do that.

    They dope. Get over it.

  16. Agreed and watching the youTubes of Armstrong destroying Zulle (who has admitted he was on PED's) on the climb to Sestriere proves he was on the gear.... its just not possiable for him to do that without some help.... (

) - take another look... its absurd... 12 months of training and you could do the same !

  17. Training at high altitudes and extracting blood during those training sessions can bring remarkable results when the blood is transfused back during races at less altitude.
Let me think who might have trained above 10,000 feet.
