  1. I get to use the ONLY word this week! ONLY half a pound on! Hehehe!

The Fibro has been biting hard, so I spent the last three days breakfasting on painkillers... These
always depress my appetite so I don't eat all my points, and I spent hours huddled on the sofa and
have only walked up to school to collect James once this week. 🙁 So the surprise is that I didn't
    put MORE on!

  3. Under the circumstances, I agree with your use of the ONLY word. Wish you well that the fibro
recedes quickly so you can cut back on the painkillers, start eating again, and resume your walking.

Thanks! Me too - in fact, I wish it would bugger off completely, but...

Gotta look on the bright side: it won't kill me and it won't cripple me, and just occasionally it's
a damned good excuse to avoid doing something!

'No, really, I'd love to join you for a half marathon/24 hr disco/10 day clubbing party in Benidorm
(insert strenuous torture of choice!), but it wouldn't be good for my fibromyalgia,' or 'I'd love to
help you take 43 kids to Disneyland Paris for 3 days, but my Fibro has flared up - I'm useless at
the moment!' (I didn't do school trips when I was teaching - I'm damned if I'm doing them now!).
Now, I'm almost sure I could find the energy and stamina to go on a 4 day all expenses paid wine
tasting trip to the Loire valley vineyards, and I'm sure that a trip to Belgium to see how they make
those fantastic fresh cream chocolates Harrods sell wouldn't tax my strength too much, but nobody
seems to be offering those opportunities at present...

Today it's my son's turn to huddle on the sofa! He was ikk this morning at 7 am... odd time to turn
inside out! he's running a slight temperature, and looking and feeling distinctly peely wally, so I
suspect a GERM of some sort.

Luckily I am feeling much better.

He was much better by this evening, but only ate one and a half rounds of sanwiches all day, and
drank a gallon of squash! If he isn't eating, I know it's real! Usually he eats as much as I do or
more! Not fat, him, just sturdily built! (Judo twice a week, plus cubs and playing around at school
and the walk home keep him reasonably fit, but he needs to do more walking, or learn to swim!)

  18. OOoh - that reminds me. My parents are going to Antwerp as part of a trip, in a couple of weeks
time. They're very into food and beer - and I have a good beer guide for them. But it would be great
if you could recommend some wonderful places to eat. And anything you think they absolutely have to
    do/see when there....

    thanks hon 🙂
