  1. I'm getting back into riding after about 15 years off the bike.

I have the older style Look clipless pedals and was wondering if anyone had come up with a way to clip regular toe clip type pedals on them for safer urban type riding?

  2. I don't know aboout older style look pedals, I've been using the same style for over 15 years and replaced them maybe 5 times. The only way I know is to change your pedals over which is really just a small job.

  3. I think you are looking for something like this

    Universal Cycles -- Dimension Insteps

    or

DIMENSION INSTEPS CLEAT ADAPTERS at JensonUSA.com

ALSO, another solution which may not be as good, but less expensive if you're handy -- someone (I don't recall who) modified a pair of Cristophe toe clips to fit on his Shimano SL pedals (which are similar to the traditional LOOK pedal, but are 'flat' at the forward tip ... so, retrofitting a toe clip on a LOOK pedal may be problematic) by removing the mounting "tab" on the toe clip and drilling a couple of "mounting" holes the remaining tongue to secure the toe clip to the bottom side of the pedal ... the success of the DIY installation probably depends on the toe clip size you may-or-may-not have AND your shoe size.

  5. yes....i think that is exactly what i'm looking for...
i just wonder if they would clip into my old vintage red-white LOOK clipless pedals?

Your old Look pedals have a Delta cleat, so anything that works with a Delta cleat will...er....work.

Not to mention new alternatives are cheap and much better.
