  1. Hi,

Does anyone know of any sources of old tdf footage - I'd really like to get my hands on some of the
Channel 4 coverage of the early 90s, particularly Lemond, Chippolini, Undurain et al...

Are there any shops that sell this kind of thing?

I overwrote my videotapes years ago and now regret it :-(

    Thanks

    Chris

I'd particularly like to see a replay of the 1989 (I think) final stage where LeMonde beat Fignon by
a handful of seconds. Final stage time trials are a good idea, IMO.

Still the best ever Tour for me. Didn't the comic carry ads for a company doing these videos???

  4. I was there, we followed the tour from the Alps to Paris in 1989, I walked from Versaille to Paris
during the final stage and had just cross the bridge into Paris when Fignon and Lemond came past me.
We didn't know the result until we got back to the hotel and assumed that Fignon had won the tour !

I still have the C4 recordings, Lemonds confidence or arrogance depending on your POV is fantastic.
I can be seen at the summit of the Col de Port on the recording too !

    Have a look at: bromleyvideo.combromleyvideo.com

They have a full range of 90's TDF videos, plus loads of others.
