  1. What is the deal with the stupid anti-highracer posts? What's the backstory,
and why isn't this kept in the 'bent NG?

He posted in alt.rec.bicycles.recumbent until all other posting stopped
and there appeared to be nobody left to read his posts. So he's moved
here. We all just need to filter him out or ignore him.

  3. Anything we can do to get newsgroup moderators on him?

The poster is using a different identity every couple of days and he's
not in the least bit interested in conversation. He's spamming Usenet
to get some traffic to his worthless blog. I received word today from
Blogger.com (which hosts his blog) that they'll look into his TOS
violations. He lists his email address as [email hidden].

There are currently two other blogs that link to his. Feel free to
contact these other bloggers and let them know how you feel about
highracersucks. You can see the other blogs here:

Incidentally, I'm pretty sure the highracersucks blogger is Magilla
Gorilla. He also spams discussion forums all over the web with links to
    his loser blog.

His behaviour would indicate he's about 13, but I didn't think kids liked
    'bents.

The anti-highracer loser is just that, he changes emails every day or
two to get around people and their ng client filters, I posted a list of
some of the ones he uses here:
    http://groups.google.com/group/rec.bicycles.misc/browse_frm/thread/b9788560f1686c6e/e004b264d7c71c04?hl=en#e004b264d7c71c04

He cross posts all of his putrid garbage on three ngs' that I subscribe
    to rec.bicycles.tech / rec.bicycles.misc / alt.rec.bicycles.recumbent
but most of his BS is directed towards a couple of the regulars at ARBR.

You can't. All you can do is

    1. ignore the trolling
    2. Kill-file the troll
    3. Complain to the troll's ISP for breach of terms & conditions if troll
actually is in breach of terms & conditions.

For the time being, I am flushing posts from free email sources.

Wait a sec. Vandespam posts /frequently/ in alt.mountain-bike and
rec.bicycles.soc (apparently -- some one said so but I don't read that
group); you mean he says out of misc. out of the goodness of his heart?!?

I don't know, but if there is any way to stop him, it's this:

From the Blogger TOS, at http://www.blogger.com/terms.g

regulations, policies and procedures of networks connected to the

    - is this dude interfering or disrupting this group as it is connected
    to Google Groups?

Member will not use the Service for chain letters, junk mail, spamming
or any use of distribution lists to any person who has not given
specific permission to be included in such a process.

    - Does content spam count?

I don't know the backstory and frankly don't care. Just filter them out
and be happy. He's made it pretty simple for now. All his From: lines
include the string "stopmenot" so you can filter on that.

Judging by his posts, Vandespam hasn't had a single new idea in a
decade. What would make him start posting in different groups when
he gets a perfectly good troll-reaction in r.b.s (cross-posted to
    rec.backcountry and sci.environment...)
