I still haven't had any volunteers for judges. Anyone?

  2. Official Entry

    Title :My Bike (original, huh?)

My bike is my bike and I love it, Though most bikes are clearly above it. It's rigid as hell, And it
has a brass bell I don't want a boinger. Just shove it!

    Only one?

Can't we make it a little longer? Say, four or five days rather than two? Inspiration doesn't
readily come to all of us...

  4. As "published" on the Bike Reader site:

    I second this request ...

(Of course, if we do that, people who've already posted their poems (ooh, nice alliteration!) should
be allowed to post a replacement, if they so choose.)

  6. Serenity, Deep in the woods, creeks brushing by, deer in the path, apply brakes now.

Excitement, As I bump along on my Trek 820, I conquer terrain fit for a Yeti.

Adrenalin, It's much more fun riding a piece of danger, doing drops that break shocks, all the while
    unscathed.

Reflection, A long day in sun, free from labels, parts and prices, I relish in the soreness of my
body, and as the dirt seeps out my tongue,

    this is why I ride.

Yeah, submit your best one (your favorite!). This will give us the best AM-B has to offer. Though if
you have others I have no problem if you post them in other threads. I think it would be great if we
had some poetry sprinkled throughout the group ya know?

  8. I would like to dedicate this poem to Wheeler:

    -Standing Up-

One speed is all you need. two cranks to power the steed, two wheels send you far and near.
    Challenge awaits, now steer!

Some folks gawk at one gear, their minds clouded and unclear. Will you sway them to your side? Let
    your strength be their guide.

Lose yourself in the pride, make one-speed your only ride. You're the only one alive when you lose
    your gears and strive.

To a better end--don't ask 'why?'

They actually allowed you to know a poem on Quonset? I'm impressed ;-)

We were only allowed to recite them if we were on the Davisville side.

The place is now a mess, with the state building a super-highway into the place, and about 2
profitable plants on site. But it's still better than the container mega-port they wanted to
    put there.

    That's progress. 😉

Too bad Rocky Point Park is no more. Not that us Navy families could afford such luxuries!

  18. What the women of AMB want is not to be coy or to flaunt they ride all kinds of bikes, no two are
alike, and mountain bike trails are their haunt.

only allowed to submit one. Maybe we can have a "the ones you didn't submit" thread....?

You abandoned the one on which I "consulted"?
