Shoot! Thursday morning, the scale said 172.8. Yesterday the scale spiked to 175.6. Today, unfortunately, the scale didn't dip back down far enough. I'm not overly troubled by the gain; I expect it'll be off in the next day or two. Most likely, I'm still feeling the effects of the higher sodium foods in the Thanksgiving feast. And I just might be having a hard time letting go of Thursday's apple-pecan pie. This week I'll be practicing what I preach: accepting that fluctuations and occasional gains are part of the journey and not predictors of my overall success.

I love your attitude PR! Since I'm on maintanence, I'm averaging my weightloss for the week - worked greatly to my advantage this week for a change. <G> I also suffered the after effects of the holiday with having to record my weight on Friday (was actually up dang near 5 pounds from last week and from Thursday morning!). Half of it has come off already, and I'm not sweating the rest - you shouldn't either. We have a lifetime to work at this, one single day is not anything to fret over. It's if we let those *one days* continue over and over that is the problem.
Hang in there hon, and just think of the whoosh you are gonna see next week! <g>

Ugh - another Thanksgiving gain! Hopefully, it's mostly water and that'll you'll have it off this week. Wish you luck. Elaine K 331.4/213./179

Well, there were some good signs during the week so it sounds good as does the attitude. And apple- pecan pie - sounds good. Mine was similar but pretty awful, actually.
Good luck this week

Thanks, everyone, for your follow-up messages. This morning when I got on the scale, it said 170.4. Guess I did a good job over the weekend of eliminating the sodium and letting go of the pie. It sounds like this week will go well and you will see that total loss hit the magic 60 and then go beyond.

It's still a long ways till Saturday. Considering the fickleness of the scales, pinning my hopes on any particular outcome is always risky business. I'll be satisfied with anything down.
With highs in the mid to upper 30s predicted into next week, opportunities to earn APs for snow shoveling will be very few to non-existent. Guess I'll have to go to the gym.
