  1. No daily weight measurements to average out for last week ... heck no weights taken at all. I'm
going to go with a maintain, based on clothing still fitting exactly the same. <G>

Although, the above statement did give me a bit of a scare this morning. I grabbed a freshly
laundered pair of jeans, and jumped into them ... then began fretting a bit. The darned things felt
snugger than what I have been used to - NOT tight by any means, no hanging over the waistband or
trouble zipping, just snugger through the hips than I expected. I quickly forgot about it and went
ahead with fixing breakfast for my grandson. When I finally broke for the potty, I had a thought
about those tighter jeans ... looked at the tag and laughed. They were the new jeans that are a size
smaller than the other ones ... closer fit explained very easily. LOL

Yesterday and today's meals at least are back to somewhat normal, I can't believe how quickly I have
become tired of *grab and run* meals. I am imagining that it will take a good week or more for me to
know where I truly stand on the scale (water vs. fat). And I'm not sure this is even a good thing or
not ... but I have not journaled ANYTHING for a full week now - am pretty much playing things by ear
and appear to be surviving. I'm still hoping things will calm down soon.

  5. I think you will do fine - even if you miss a week. Remember, Lifers only have to WI once a month.
So this daily tracking or weekly averaging is considered overkill.

I like your jeans story, chubs! (G)

  6. Today the scale was up a teeny bit, nothing major - but still up. You're right though, as usual. I
forgot that lifers only have to weigh in once per month, so overall I'm probably doing just fine
    and dandy.

I'm tellin' ya, those snugger jeans were driving me nuts! They were comfortable, but I couldn't for
the life of me figure out why they weren't as baggy as they were prior to washing. Sheeeeeeeeesh -
silly me. <G> I had ordered some other jeans, didn't have my size in stock in the store ... arrived
today. Smaller size once again, fit just fine. Life is grand. <G>

  7. Thanks Lesanne, I'm hanging tough. Daughter is currently home with the flu, crying her eyes out
today because she is so worried about being behind in her schoolwork. She takes things much too
seriously, I'm afraid. Hopefully her temp will break soon and at least she will be more comfortable.
Tomorrow I may have to run her to the doctor (just what I need, squeezing one more thing into the
plan) .. appears she may have an infection in her eye also and it is really bothering her.

This too shall pass, right? <G>

Feeling the need to have everything perfect is one of the things that I am constantly doing,
although it NEVER works out the way it's supposed to. This all stems from a past relationship where
HE had to have everthing just right and I used to get all kinds of negative feedback ([censored] really)
from him if everything wasn't just so. I left him 5 years ago now, but I suppose some of the habits
I got into back then are still with me now. When DH and I got together one of the things that really
drove him nuts was that as soon as a meal was finished I would get up and do all the dishes and
clean the kitchen until it was spotless, then proceed to the dining room, etc. etc. I am at the
point now where I sometimes leave the supper dishes overnight, sitting in the sink, or on the
counter, I've even left them on the table overnight a few times!

drive, babysit for grandson in the afternoon and feed him lunch since he seems to not eat for anyone
else, take sons car in for repairs, fix dinner for family plus unexpected person. I am going to try

  16. Thanks Lee. She's been under a top-knotch eye drs. care since she was 2 years old, eye was perfectly
fine in the morning. No symptoms, no redness or irritation at all. I am still watching VERY

When DH and I got together one of the things that
really drove him nuts was that as soon as a meal was finished I would get up and do all the dishes
and clean the kitchen until it was spotless, then proceed to the dining room, etc. etc. I am at the
point now where I sometimes leave the supper dishes overnight, sitting in the sink, or on the
counter, I've even left them on the table overnight a few times!

I remember going through a similar thing when I was younger. My mom was horrid about criticism when
I was growing up. No matter what we did, it didn't seem to be right or even close enough - so
consequently, by the time I was married I was afraid to even try to do anything. It took many years
for me to get over those feelings and realize that hub was not going to scream, yell or say one
thing about some goofy little mistake I might make. Most of the time I am very easy going, but
Christmas I still tend to want everything *perfect* ... even though I honestly have no idea what
perfect is (as it changes every year). I guess I get ideas into my head, then nothing else is good
enough ... and if I can't accomplish that first idea, I go nuts until I do get it done. This year
the gift thing was a nightmare. I had items being held for shipping for over 3 weeks - they did
arrive on christmas eve, but the panic was still there. LOL And I really did have no idea what to
expect from my mom since she is currently in a nursing home (dementia) and I was trying hard to keep
traditions the same for her (not gonna do THAT again).

I do hear ya on the dishes/kitchen cleanup thing. Dinner mess is currently sitting on the counter
(dishes only) - probably will wait until tomorrow morning for me to clean them up. I'm just feeling
too darned lazy tonight to deal with them. <g>

This sounds familiar. I get ideas in my head about how I want something done, or when I want to do
it and that's just how it has to be. I used to constantly be apologizing or explaining myself to DH
and he would just ask me why I was doing it. I used to think that his reaction to whatever I'd said
or done would be the same as my ex's reaction, when it was just the opposite. DH is very easy going.
Take this as an example. On Christmas eve I stopped by Dan's (friend and photographer who takes
Nicholas & my pictures) to drop off a lasagna I'd made for him and his son. I called DH from there
to let him know I was going to have a drink with Dan. He just said "before or after the nude
photos", so I answered "after". He just laughed. My ex would have hit the roof!! DH is so
unsuspecting I could have an affair right under his nose and he wouldn't know it! It took me a long
time to figure him out, actually I'm still trying to figure out some of his ways.
